Immersing yourself or a child in the arts and in educational programming is a great way to lead a more fulfilling and enriching life. Whether it’s learning to play an instrument or read music, or taking a shot at singing, dancing, or acting, there is a place to develop your talent and pursue your dreams here at The Kroc Center. If the fine arts are more for you, classes in sculpting, drawing and painting are also available for you to create your masterpiece. Our state-of-the-art performance and studio spaces allow artists to hone their skills and showcase their work.


Our Education & Fine Arts Specialist will work with you to find the time and day that works best with your schedule.

Benefits of Private Music Lessons

• Provide instruction that meets the specific learning style of each student


• With a private instructor, a student learns the fundamentals of playing much more quickly


• Students will discover what new music to explore and what goals to pursue


• Siblings (or friends!) can have fun together while enhancing their music skills



Private voice lessons are a great way for singers of all ages and abilities to improve their singing. Education and Fine Arts Specialist and Voice Lessons Instructor Jonathon Weller is a professional singer who has extensive experience in performing a wide variety of music and will meet you where you’re at now and help you grow. Beginners age 10 and up through adults and budding professionals will work on good vocal technique, music reading & theory, and solo repertoire.

Taught by talented local artist, Ben Askew (ig: @benaskewsart). Artists of all abilities, beginners through advanced, will walk away from this class with a completed painting on a 12x12 canvas. All supplies and materials will be provided. Feel free to bring your own snacks to eat during the class! Great class for groups of friends looking for a fun night out or couples looking for a date night.

Hand lettering has become more and more popular and now you have the opportunity to learn about this art form with talented local artist, Leah Hanlin (ig: @leahhanlin). Leah will teach you the basic skills and then work alongside you as you hone your abilities! Fee includes brush pens and sketchbook for each participant to take home! *Open to ages 14+ and ages 10+ with an accompanying parent.

Do you want to become a better photographer? Join local photographer, Rachel Buyck (ig: @photographyrachelb) as she leads a introduction to photography class. You'll learn the basics of image composition, camera features, and editing. Whether you have a basic phone camera or a top of the line DSLR that you want to learn to use better, this class is for you!

Have you ever wanted to learn how to create your own movies and professional looking videos? Join former KHQA news anchor, Chad Douglas, as he leads a class taking you from concept to finished product!


Bring either a video camera or a smartphone so that you can capture your own footage. All the equipment for editing the video will be provided. Open to all experience levels.

Cooking and being healthy can be intimidating, but doesn’t need to be! Join corporate Chef Brad Darnell from Kohl Wholesale as you learn some of the skills you need to cook easy and healthy meals for you and your family. All ingredients and materials will be supplied, just bring yourself and an appetite as you’ll end this 1.5 hour long class with the meal you just created!
