The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center School's in Day Camp, is a new remote

learning option for parents and guardians of area school aged children in grades kindergarten through 6th and CITs in grades 7th through 12th. This new program covers the instruction for remote learning and provides after-school care all in the same room, with the same group, and with the same staff. Once school work is completed, students will enjoy homework assistance, snack, free play, and daily structured activities. Drop-off will begin at 7:30am and pickup will end at 7pm. The cost of the program is $110 per week for members and $140 per week for non-members.

Children will be given an afternoon snack.

The number of participants allowed in this program is very limited to assure county and state guidelines for social distancing are followed. Children will stay in their family groups the entire day. Siblings will be kept together within their small group of no more than 15 students.

When children are able to keep at least six feet of social distancing they will not be required to wear masks. Masks will need to be worn when entering and exiting the building along with when they are moving from one location in the facility to another. In addition, CDC and state/county guidelines regarding cleaning will be followed. Cleaning caddies with COVID disinfectant and towels are available within the 'classroom' and The Kroc maintenance team continues to keep up the ridged cleaning protocols handed down from the state.

NOTE: This program will only be held on traditional school days.
On holidays or snow days (following QPS schedule), parents can choose to enroll their child(ren) in a special edition of School's Out Day Camp (SODC). This special edition will be designed specifically for students who attend School's IN Day Camp (SIDC). SODC participants will not be combined with SIDC students.

State of Illinois and CDC
guidelines regarding social distancing, cleaning, and COVID-19 protocols are followed for SODC.
